Post Abortion Pondering

Just some musings as I watch the March for Life.

A tactic from the Pro-choice community to those of us who defend life at all stages is to accuse us of only defending the child's life while still in the womb. They believe we do nothing to help the child or the mother after childbirth. Nothing could be further from the truth. I'd like to pose a few questions to ponder.

1. Once an abortion has taken place, how does Planned Parenthood or any abortion provider provide for the much needed counselling which will be needed as the mother realizes her loss?

2. What kind of medical care does Planned Parenthood or any abortion provider give when an abortion is botched?

3. If a post-abortive woman asked for any of these services, would the abortion facility tell her they are not responsible? That any thought of grieving is just evidence of some mental illness, that healthy women don't grieve 'tissue'?

4. As the woman without help seems to self-destruct, self medicating with drugs or alcohol, will PP assist with rehab?

5. As the woman without help moves from relationship to relationship, furthering the feelings of worthlessness, will PP be there to help them recover?

6. If the woman becomes pregnant again, knowing the pain abortion has cost her, will PP be there to assist with pre-natal vitamins, clothing, diapers, education, et al? I'll give a hint...no, but they'll surely offer her another abortion, and then contraceptives which have a tendency to fail, hoping to offer yet another abortion.

7. If as they say, it's a woman's right to choose, why don't abortionist offer care for the aftermath, the grieving and pain, or be responsible for the infertility which often occurs, or cancers, or miscarriages?

8. How do abortion providers assist mothers with their schooling so they may rise above?

9. Do abortion providers follow up with counselling up to 2 years after abortions?

10. So...just who offers help for moms and babies from conception to natural death? For all healthy services in-between? Is it PP or any abortion facility?

Nope. In the United States there are up to 4,000 crisis pregnancy centers and houses which provide health, nutrition, education, help finding jobs or getting through school, all of the help necessary for mother and child.

And no, they don't rely on your tax dollars.

Ponder for a while...
