David became the father of Solomon...
Josiah became the father of Jechoniah during the Babylonian exile.
14 Generations.
Jechoniah became the father of Shealtiel...
Jacob the father of Joseph,
the husband of Mary.
Of Her was born Jesus.
Hearing the genealogy of Jesus anew
as I ponder the stars, all culminating
with THE Star
shining with the brightness of the Promise
and all the stars in the sky since Abraham,
leading us to
The Humble Babe, The King of Kings
Whose Kingdom will have no end.
May you all have a Blessed Christmas
filled with the Joy and Hope
as first experienced by the The Shepherds
in that star filled night sky!
